| At 8:25 am, Box 22-3 was activated in response to a vehicle accident on US 15 Northbound at mile marker 7.0. Both the Police Department (PD) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly arrived on the scene, where they encountered a challenging situation. A vehicle had somehow ended up on a steep embankment, and its position was unstable. The dedicated crew members from Rescue 22 (R22) and Engine 1-1 (E1-1) swiftly took action. They secured the vehicle using chains and a chain hoist, ensuring it wouldn't slide further down the embankment. Their top priority was safety, and they skillfully removed all the occupants and even pets from the vehicle. Remarkably, despite the precarious position of the vehicle, there were no injuries reported in this incident. This outcome speaks volumes about the professionalism and quick response of the first responders. In addition to the PD and EMS teams, Fire Police from Company 22 and Company 1 played a crucial role in managing traffic around the incident scene, ensuring the safety of everyone involved. The efficient and coordinated efforts of all the responders involved in this incident greatly enhanced the overall safety and well-being of those affected, preventing a potentially dire situation from escalating further. |
